Dates & Forms

A NISRA seasonal brochure is the best way to get an idea of all that NISRA has to offer. Call the NISRA office at (815) 459-0737 to obtain a printed brochure, or stop by your park district or recreation department.

A Few Notes About Registration

Priority Registration

Registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents of NISRA’s member districts who register prior to the deadline have priority over out-of-district participants. Out-of-district residents are welcome to register for all programs, however a non-resident fee is charged.

Suggested Ability Level

Although some programs are offered according to disability classifications, these classifications are only considered recommendations. If the participant meets the social, physical, behavioral and age requirements of any program, he or she can register for it.

Inclusion

NISRA also provides assistance to those wishing to participate in their home park district or recreation department program. Types of assistance may include staff training, adapted equipment, sign language assistance or a program aide. Call NISRA or your home district staff to inquire about the inclusion process.

Exciting Updates to NISRA Registration:
RecTrac & ePact Coming Winter/Spring 2026

We’re excited to share some important updates about our new registration process. Beginning with Winter/Spring 2026 programs, NISRA will be transitioning to RecTrac and ePact to make registration easier, faster, and more secure for you and your family. You can preview the brochure on Monday, November 10 and registration will open on Thursday, November 13.

RecTrac Registration System
Families will create a household account through RecTrac to register online. You’ll be able to view program availability in real time, join waitlists instantly, and make payments securely.

Important: Registration forms will not be accepted through email, fax, or the NISRA drop box. All registrations must be completed online through RecTrac or in person at the NISRA office during business hours.

*If you need financial assistance, please contact the NISRA office at 815-459-0737 prior to November 7. Please make sure your RecTrac account is set up and approved prior to registration opening on November 13.

How account setup works:
1. You create your household account in RecTrac.
2. NISRA reviews and approves your account.
3. You will receive an email once your account is approved and ready to use. This will be completed within 2 business days.

If you have participated in NISRA programs during 2025, or if you have a debit/credit on your account, you will receive an email from RecTrac to update your account information.

If you do not receive an email, you will need to initiate setting up a RecTrac account at www.nisra.org. In order to register on November 13, please set up your account by November 9.

ePact: Emergency & Health Information
After registering for programs in RecTrac, you’ll receive an email invitation to set up your ePact account. This is where you’ll securely provide medical, emergency contact, and care details. You will not be able to set up ePact prior to registration.

All ePact information must be completed by December 19, 2025. Your participant’s ePact documents will need to be submitted by this date to remain enrolled in their programs.

What You’ll Need to Do (Save this for quick reference!)
1. Create and Activate Your Household Account in RecTrac – Do this before November 9. Remember: after you create your account, NISRA must approve it. Watch for your approval email before you try to register.

2. Register for Programs – Register online from home, or in person at the NISRA office during business hours. Payment is due at the time of registration, and real-time program availability will be visible.

3. Watch for Your ePact Invitation – After registering for programs in RecTrac, check your email for an invitation from ePact. Complete all required medical and emergency information by December 19, 2025 to remain enrolled in their programs.

Next Steps
We know this is a big change, and we’re here to support you! On October 23 you will be able to start setting up your account in RecTrac and we’ll be sharing step-by-step instructions, tutorials, and details about the member district help sessions.

Should you need assistance, NISRA staff will be available at the NISRA office as well as hosting additional account setup help sessions at the Centre of Elgin and Huntley Park Districts between October 28 – November 6. Staff will be available to walk you through creating your RecTrac household account before registration begins.

*If you need financial assistance, please contact the NISRA office at 815-459-0737 prior to November 7.

You can preview the brochure on Monday, November 10 and registration will open on Thursday, November 13.

Thank you for growing with us and your patience during this transition process — these new tools will help us serve you better and provide a safer, more streamlined registration experience!
